How to make the best practices of local communities general property?

In many local communities good initiatives, which are implemented by efforts of enthusiasts and donors, are put into practice. However, these initiatives rarely go outside of this initiative realizing community. How other communities should learn about such innovation, what should be done to figuratively speaking, "share" the best practices? In fact, it will allow also to "share" the result of its application!
